So I have this other journal. Except it's private. Yet, I'm not quite sure why I have it, even though I've already found a good use for it.

So, your thoughts on the value/use of a journal not meant for public consumption?

Sorry, spammers forced my hand. Comments reviewed before being published.

[link] Well, that was the original definition of a journal, way back in the day when it was a book that you wrote in with a pen/pencil (gasp!). Some people still keep those; I still have one, but I write it in infrequently and nowadays it's for fic snippets/bits/dreams that pop up when I'm in bed and don't want to get up and turn on the computer.

My thoughts on a journal for private consumption only are that. . . well, it's okay. More than okay, really. Like I said, that was the original use for a journal; to keep private thoughts and dreams that you didn't want anyone else seeing. We're all entitled to a little privacy. At the moment, I don't mind blogging whatever's on my mind on a journal that everyone can see, because, well, I don't have any Deep Dark Secrets. And I like getting feedback.
