"I don't do meme's often, so no complaining"

exanimate

Yes, I'm falling into one of those popular memes. But I like the premise. ::shrugs:: I know at least one person who I think I'll be able to do something for, which makes me feel good. (So long as my money will accomodate me.)

Anyway....
I originally saw this from Ronda, but it's apparently floated all over the place. Still, I'm quoting Ronda's version, for I iz teh lazee.

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of holiday wishes. (I think originally it was a list of 10, but that's boring. *snicker*) The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread. Yay holiday joy!

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, if you have a paid account, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The List: (impossible pipe dreams marked with *)
- Any volume of Fake after 6 or PetShop of Horrors after 7 (I'm behind).
- Doujinshi, preferably explicit, from any anime/manga/game I like (If you're not sure about the pairing, telling me the fandom and I'll let you know.)
- hurt/comfort fics, any a/m/g I like. (ditto above for pairing)
- artwork for my original charas
- weapons: katanas, broadswords, daggers, things like that.
- essential oils, any kind, jasmine especially
* Bush to go to sleep for the next four years. He can wake up when his term is over.
- new HD, CPU, or double layer DVD burner
- for some to realise their lives aren't as bad as they'd like to believe
- YnM DVDs volume 1 and 3
- Ayatsuri Sakon to be licensed out here
* For the U.S. to censor violence more than sex, the way other countries tend to
- A muse that won't fizzle out on me halfway through a fic
- anime clocks from any series I like
* 28 hour days
* months with days that mesh with the lunar cycle, thus giving us 13 months like it should be.
* the complete eradication of daylight savings time
- doujinshi based on either my last or my current NaNoWriMo fic
- Enough money for the month to make sure I send everyone on my Xmas list something to make them smile.
- A silk screen kit to make my own t-shirts and canvas bags.
- for the current NaNo fic to write itself
- better self motivation

To note, a friend told me after reading this to just ask for the world. /¬.¬\ I don't want the world. It's broken.
