Okay, remember that water fountain I mentioned? Well I'm getting two more, each a different style. I think I have enough room now for a kind of mini nature/harmony shrine. Now, adding to this that I can't grow/keep a live plant to save my soul, what else besides the fountains would be good to add? I've a lovely scented candle, though I might try my hand at making my own with the gel wax, since thats just a case of melt and pour.

How about one of those little Zen Rock Gardens that come in the little tiny box? I have one that I tend to about once a week and it's oddly calming for a two-inch-square box of sand.

Sticks with moss from outside?
Fake flowers? Hey, there are some really neat ones at craft stores...
Candles good of course.
Incense if that doesn't cause problems...
Wind chime/s?
Pretty shells?
Pretty boy action figures?

Bamboo require little maintenance?

Other than that, Kalloway's suggestion of the Zen Rock Garden sounds perfect.

Maybe also little statues of animals that you feel are spiritually connected to you, or perhaps contain traits that you wish you had? . . . God, I sound like some kind of shamanistic new age hippie. GAH.
