(4:35 pm PT) - Countdown to insanity
[link] - (nervous)
Posting here and
my LJ for those who subscribe to either or.
As most of you know, November marks the insanity known as
NaNoWriMo, where participants have 30 days to churn out 50,000 words, i.e. a story, fic, whatever you fancy calling it. I managed to get through it last year and, proving just how freaking nuts I am, I'm going for it
again this year.
What this essentially means is I'll more or less drop off the face of the planet. (Like I was that available before, right?) If I make my daily goal, then I'm free until the next day, but otherwise, I'm doing my best impression of a ghost.
If you really need me, email me. You can use the livejournal addy, though your best bet is the message form at Locuran on the about page.
This year, after waiting until the last possible moment, I decided to actually put this novel up somewhere. You can read about that, and how to be friended if you're
masochistic enough interested in keeping up with it, on its home at
ln_fic.
Now all I need is to have enough orange oil to help me focus, and I might have a slim chance of getting through it.

Daily Genism:
There are those who say I must write certain pieces, be it poetry, prose, fiction, or non fiction, in a particular style, format, outline, etc. They tell me that unless I write a thing in a specified manner, then whatever I'm writing is not what I'm writing at all. These are the people who would stuff my imagination in a bottle, label it, and set it on the shelf for about /$2.25.
I say, I at least want a coupon, damnit.
