(11:38 pm PT) - email
[link] - (working)

So I'm pretty sure I have some outdated email addies as I look through my contacts. So if nobody minds, just send me an email. Can be as deep or as irrelevant as you want, I just need the reply-to addies. My addie is in both IJ and LJ profiles. If you're visiting me at Locuran, just use the form on the 'About' page, at the very bottom.

Randomly, I'm very much convinced of the notion that there's always a slacker in every group project. Just my luck it's never me.

(11:46 am PT) - In lighter news
[link] - (working)

I've upped my walking time to 6.30 minutes now. Next goal is to walk that long and remain upright, versus slightly cheating and bending over the treadmill bars when I get tired. /^^; Hey, I'm trying.

And thanks to all who've encouraged me on my walking. It means a lot to me.

Now, if anyone is reading this, I'm offering snippets. fanfiction, original, minimum 500 words, max 1k, unless I'm supremely inspired, (something I haven't been in awhile). Just comment here.

Now I'm off to go to the bank to put a stop payment on the Exovian charges, who had the utter gorilla-balled nerve to let their automated system send me an invoce. HAH! Oh, I don't think so, Benny. I really don't think so.

(3:28 pm PT) - Heh, the program burped
[link] - (working)

PHP, or any programming language for that matter, is very much like golf. You hate it, you curse it, you damn it to hell. Then you get it to do something right, and you love it.

(1:29 pm PT) - Not dead, just pretending...
[link] - (working)

Okay, the long thought on spirituality through the net will have to wait. This is so nobody thinks I'm ignoring them.

Note: This is a social/personal entry and has no thought-provoking content whatsoever. This entry contains direct correspondence and geekspeak. You've been warned.

Hilel - hello! I'm glad you like Bryony (even though I haven't done much to it in awhile). There's something planned for a daily tarot card if you're interested, just have to find time to put the puppy on my site. As for "Bryony," I actually found the name in "The Complete Book of Magical Names." Best twenty I ever let fly away. I must admit, I'm not a Redwall fan. Too many friends with bad experiences concerning Redwall related things, and I'm not that big of an animorph fan (I prefer fusions.) Getting off the tangent, it's nice to meet you.

Mina - slight delay. I ran out of CDs, so my middle man is going to pick up some more. Unless ep 15 slips by me, you'll get 1-14.

Mirchan - I have been so bogged down with this script it's ridiculous. (But it's finally starting to bear fruit.) Anyway, can you send me your snail mail so I can send yours off (oh boy am I late with them).

Kit - To go or not to go, that is the question...

Amber - Taking Happy Pills is a drag, yes, but sometimes they are necessary. And you'll be getting off, so you'll get a break, at least. All the better.

Domino - It's not so much that I hate guys, I'm just fed up with misogynist males. Now misogynist femmes, I have absolutely nothing to say to them. They are beyond confused and beyond my level of expertise.

Oh to hell with it, just shoot them all and call it a day.

On to the geekspeak, I've finally got a modest template sytem in the beta stage. I don't know if I'll move all my current static sites to the new system, but all future sites will use it. Basically, all content is stored in records in a mySQL DataBase. Each record has a site_ID reference that tells the script which template file to use and display. Now usually dynamic sites end up looking like

http://somesite.com/script.php?page=this&id=12345

Ugly, ain't it? Not too easy to remember, either. Fortunately, I was able (through many tutorials) to use .htaccess, so my urls will end up looking like

http://yaoiville.org/door/some_page (No that is not a real url. Try it, I dare ya.)

So I have the script that actually displays the template replaced with the actual content. This is going to be the spine for the KH site (hence why it's been taking me so long). Next step, an admin script to help with adding, editing, and deleting content/pages. Also, there should be a section that will let the main user decide if they want to allow php code into the content. In truth, I don't need all this since I'm making the script solely for myself, but if I should decide to ever make it public, then I may as well write it as though I am. Besides which, it helps in just writing decent code period, which I want to get into the habit of doing.

Unfortunately, scripting steals all my creativity, so I may start taking shortcuts just to get finished with it. Rawr.

Oh yes, America, quit watching TV. You'll find your brain might actually still be salvageable if you do.

(3:59 pm PT) - A little less stress
[link] - (working)

The counter service at bryony should be working now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Looking for possible backup scripts now to prevent this from happening again.

Will go back to usual blogging when the sun goes down, it's too freakin' bright/hot.

Daily Genism: There are those who say I must write certain pieces, be it poetry, prose, fiction, or non fiction, in a particular style, format, outline, etc. They tell me that unless I write a thing in a specified manner, then whatever I'm writing is not what I'm writing at all. These are the people who would stuff my imagination in a bottle, label it, and set it on the shelf for about /$2.25.

I say, I at least want a coupon, damnit.
