(3:27 pm PT) - Boo
[link] - (restless)
So con schedule is up, and three panels I'd really like to go to are scheduled for the same time. I'm convinced, they hate me.
Must pack... cup o noodles. And a fork.

(9:01 pm PT) - Alternatives, or Original
[link] - (restless)
Continuing from my last post, I've come to realise I HATE shopping, whether it's RL or online. I just loathe it.
Anyway, I've found three
possible alternatives to the tunic I posted, (that were actually
cheaper). Listing them here, with a pro and/or con.
Alternative 1
Pro: Cheapest of the lost, ample embellishment, comes in black
Con: not as loose fit as I'd like, material looks a bit stiff, don't care for slit sides
Alterative 2
Pro: love the cut/design, hand wash versus dry clean is easier
Con: only comes in one colour--red
Alternative 3
Pro: detailed embroidery, comes in black, machine wash
Con: dullest of the 3 in terms of cut/design, prefer full sleeves over the 3/4 sleeves listed
So what am I getting at now? Simple, do I go for the original, or one of these? (And is the latter, which one?)
To answer some questions, Yes, I
really want the original, but I can be swayed by logical arugments. I did take into account the dry cleaning, but that's not really much of a hassle for me. (We have a few dry clean only pieces, we just use that dry-el or however it's spelled.) I checked the return policy for the original, and they do allow them. (versus some shops where I wouldn't try to do "all sales final".)
So please, if you've a moment, let me know your thoughts. I'm going to order
something by tomorrow evening.
edit: Forgot to mention that I did ask the M-unit, and she was in support of the original to go with my "hedonistic streak" /¬.¬; I thought parents were supposed to turn you
away from temptation.

(10:17 am PT) - Okay, Amazon, Okay
[link] - (restless)
So every time I do the rare manga purchase from Amazon, (because I prefer RightStuf with my gotAnime discount), it was always suggesting I read something called
Demon Diary. For the most part, I tend to ignore Amazon's suggestions, because they're usually way off the mark. But after the upteenth time, and being in rare form of looking for something new to get into, I checked the sample pages they had on volume 1.
Alright, Amazon, you pegged me. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you, considering you kept shoving this one on me more than any other suggestion before. I promise from now on to at least give a half credit more consideration when you demand I try something.
But, those other ones, where you're not screaming at me and just
think it might be good? I doubt it.
Also going to give this
Eerie Queerie! a try.
But the irony? I wound up buying both from RightStuf anyway. Well, Amazon wanted me to try it. It didn't say from where.

(3:04 pm PT) - Shewshew
[link] - (restless)
A lot of people seem to be having bad/bizarre days. To you all, I offer one great big honkin' hug. Unless of course you're in my personal perverts group, (and you know who you are), in which case, I offer you a get better soon grope.

(1:47 pm PT) - trapped
[link] - (restless)
I'm getting that feeling of a caged animal pacing behind its bars. But much like the animal, I have nowhere to go. There's nothing in my immediate area (save thugs, gangs, bad supermarkets, ghetto bunnies, et cetera), and traveling any further
alone doesn't appeal to me right now.
But there's nothing to be done.
All the people I would probably enjoy going out with are either
too far away,
in another state or
time zone, in a whole different
country, or else
I don't know where the hell they are.
... that was a lot of linking. phew.
I've really got to learn how to drive but certain parties are afraid I'll take the car and never return. As tempting as that thought is, I have a
child computer to return to, whether I like it or not.
Need to get out, soon. Hopefully I can last until the con.
Please, oh heavenly goddesses of yaoi, don't let it suck as bad as it did last year.
Oh yes,
Aglandiir, don't worry about the rant thing, feel free. If you ever want a blog, either an LJ code or something else, let me know. And if you find anything out on the mystery (I'm trying to follow it to, but the boards make it damn impossible), feel free to share with me, as
I'll appreciate it. And I'll do likewise.

(12:47 pm PT) - Oh this is rich
[link] - (restless)
My sister, one of the 'guests' I've had to endure for this hell-formerly-known-as-December, had the utter, unmitigated, bodacious, big fat monster truck cojones
nerve to ask me how I'd feel about them staying through to February 2nd.
....
Yes, people, you may laugh your arses off, just as I did.
Then some fifteen minutes later, after I was able to breathe again, I calmly told her that if they were to stay, I'd blow my head off.
And I meant it.
I then proceeded to laugh some more.
Raine - Yes, Xmas is over, TG. Unfortunately, I'm still in hell. But damned if it goes beyond the 31st. Also, why don't you just copy the xmlrss template from
BT and past that into your own xmlrss template. It should work then. You may have to check your skin too, but I believe the problem is in the template, since that's where the link is generated. Least what I'm thinking, anyway.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to indulge in something truly perverted. Someone fetch me a few bish and a tentacle monster, please...
