(10:46 pm PT) - So... Witch Hunter Robin
[link] - (indifferent)
I just finished reading a complete ep guide for Witch Hunter Robin. Actually, it was damn near a blow-by-blow play, which works for me. And I'm happy I read it, because this saves me the emotional drain of getting too deeply involved with the series, as the end was lacklustre and highly disappointing. Think of it as a large, brightly wrapped gift that has layers upon layers of wrapping you have to get through, only to get to the end and find yourself staring at a plastic whistle.
It builds itself up, making this great farking web of convoluted conspiracy, only to fizzle out with the cliched plot device of that one great hope of the race, yadda yadda yadda.
Before anyone comes and tells me I need to actually
see it, and I'm not getting anything out of just reading it, I say this. Seeing a plot acted out, and reading the plot itself, does not
change the plot, and that is where WHR falls flat. Whether I see it or not won't change how it's going to play out. That's more or less set in stone, and what I'm seeing, I don't like.
Not even Crispin's mad-sexy voce can save this one. I give it a C.

(2:16 pm PT) - Vampire game
[link] - (indifferent)
Okay, I got sucked into the admittedly mind-numbing vampire game, about trying to lure people in and stuff. But I hate trick links, so I'll just be honest. I don't know that many people either way it goes, and I doubt if I get anyone in that's not already joined. Still, I'll feel better with myself before someone complains about the new link on the side.
It's not a trick. Anyone familiar with that game, which i think can be found at
http://quiz.ravenblack.net/blood.pl knows how it goes. The link on my menu bar is for people who want to join and let me sire them. End of story. I'm not going to bait you in with "Greatest thing ever seen!" or "You got to see this!" kind of stuff. It's akin to spam, which I hate. So if you want to play, that's one way. But you go in knowing even before you click the link. Simple as that.
Now then, going to take a nap, then brew coffee,
then do daily word count. Whee, only 20k left to go.
Edit: It's raining in my area. I have no words for how much I love the rain.

(5:48 pm PT) - DB = C-R-A-C-K
[link] - (indifferent)
All I have to say is,
WTF!
Obviously, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness no longer applies in this country.
Dear shithead Mr. President,
Just so you know, I'm going to look at gay porn as much as I can for this week, because it makes me happy. If I knew others withing traveling distance, I'd make it an event. If this bothers you, I know some tentacle monsters I can send to your place to discuss the matter further.
Have fun.
- LN
And to
ANYONE who wants to jump to his defense and say he's protecting this country from corrupt people like myself, one, a question: what the hell are you doing here reading this? You don't see me coming to your little right-wing journals and bitching at you for being anal fucktards, do you? And two, this country was stolen from the indigenous people, some of whom were my ancestors, while others were stolen from their homeland to work as slaves, again some my ancestors. So don't come parading your high moral standards to me, as I have every right to be cynical about the "great wholesomeness" of this country.
In short, I'm bending over just for you, so pucker up.

(6:28 pm PT) - Oh yes.
[link] - (indifferent)
If you're an icon whore, you should definitely go to
GreatestJournal. And if happen to get one,
tell me. Can't
stalk friend you if I don't know.
Sadly, I'm not an icon whore. I haven't felt inspired to create much at all, really. But I did upload four to GJ, (two new, two modified).
Look if you want to.

(8:56 pm PT) - A crapload of quizzes
[link] - (indifferent)
Yes, that time where I take the time killing, shitload of quizzes I've stored up and post them in one lump sum to the interests of absolutely nobody...

big honkin' mess o' time wasters)

(12:13 pm PT) - No title
[link] - (indifferent)
The world, as humans have created it and forced their will upon, sucks. It is broken. Correction, it is dying. Society is broken. Man and the gender thereof is broken, while Women are either belittled, scorned, hated, or the usual, treated and seen as a piece of meat.
Society is a cesspool of corruption and depravity. By depravity I mean that which causes nonconsensual harm to others. I don't feel anything that is consensual between two adults who can still make rational decisions is necessarily bad, no matter what my personal feelings may be. But of course, I am one, and the right-wing, big brother, religious freaks are many.
And before any
one religious zealot gets on my ass, note that I didn't specify
which religion.
It could be fixed, and I believe the ideas I have would be beneficial to the world, not just humans. But frankly, the workload of trying to rule the world is more than I'm willing to spend on such a task. In short, I could fix it, but I don't want to. Just too much effort.
Not to mention, it would be way too messy after I had all the truly stupid, idiotic, asshole type people killed.

(9:27 pm PT) - Back tomorrow
[link] - (indifferent)
I'll be back online tomorrow, barring unforseen circumstances. Comp is functioning again.
Domino - I don't have the money for a phone card yet. If I don't see you before I get one, then I'll call.
Mirchan - Dude, been way too long. Oh yes, sorry, those CDs of Wolf's Rain had to wait since I'm low on cash, though hopefully I can get 1-9 out to you tomorrow.
Kit - Were we still on for tomorrow? If you have my number, call me tonight and let me know. Don't worry, I'm usually up late, as is David. Oh yes, in case you don't, leave a message at Locuran.
Mina - refresh, what time did you say for Saturday? Or better yet, let's aim for Sunday, just in case I end up meeting with Kit to hit Little Tokyo tomorrow.
I feel I should say something more, but I can't think of anything at the moment. Well, if it comes to me, I'll post it later.

(7:44 pm PT) - Oh yes...
[link] - (indifferent)
I apparently have 6 LJ codes. First six responses that meet the following criteria will get them.
1: no excessive uses of faces, especially winks.
2: no begging with "pleeeeeaaaaase" or any such nonsense.
3: Rudeness will get you
Nothing! Just to note.
4: if I don't know you, tell me a little about yourself and how you found your way to my cave here.
5: gratuitous ego stroking is not encouraged. (It's allowed, just not encouraged.)
6: prefer to give to either a: yaoi fans, or b: non yaoi-haters/open-minded het fans.
7:
demanding a code will give me a hearty chuckle while I delete the comment
I don't think that's too bad. So, let me know, and make sure I have a way to contact you. Ciao.

(8:27 pm PT) - Because I'm indecisive...
[link] - (indifferent)
So I
thought I would eventually change the look of Locuran. But damnit, I wind up feeling so comfortable with it. Still, I've had it for awhile now. Argh, indecision. So, if you look down on the menu, (LJers, you'll actually have to
come to the page to see this), there's a poll. If you have a moment handy, please make use of it. I'd like to know what you think. Thanks.

(7:21 pm PT) - Sheesh
[link] - (indifferent)
Mention "Reign..." a couple of times and everyone and their sister is hiting your page for it. People, don't have anything noteworthy about it other than I like it. Please, go home. Better, go home and just watch it. If you really want fanfiction about it (I'm sorry, that's a scary thought IMO) just write some for yourself.
Nobody has to see it.

(8:54 pm PT) - Just because...
[link] - (indifferent)
Let it be known, just because I'm a US citizen doesn't mean I...
believe sex, especially anything mildly relating to any form of homosexuality, should be hidden from minors
think seeing two grown men wearing bad spandex and
supposedly beat each other up is entertainment
feel anything that's not as pure as white bread is a sin
think criminals should get better treatment than homeless
believe everyone my government says is my enemy actually
is
think coporal punishment is child abuse
am ignorant of other cultures (If I am, I admit to my ignorance and ask to learn.)
feel my country is superior (definitely not with the current admin)
am stupid
think I'm perfect
believe nuking our enemies will solve our problems ::rolls eyes::
This list is actually going to be much longer, and will be updated as I think of more things. Check back later, or add your own.
(4:11 pm PT) - Hoo boy
[link] - (indifferent)
A
good batch of curry chicken...
...can really clear the sinuses.
If you were looking for or expecting something of deeper meaning and thought, you'll have to wait for it. There's something bubbling under the surface, but there's also something holding 'it' and my 'self' back. But I think there's some distress cracks somewhere. If I can just apply enough force...
Addendum: I'll be on to chat this Friday, but since I don't know who knows
what AIM SN, um, favour. Use the about link over there and send me a message letting me know what name you know. Because I don't want to miss anyone, and it's been awhile since I talked to a few people.
Just remember, I'm old, I multitask, and I can't handle too many chats before I slow down considerably.

(8:08 am PT) - Hn, if one simply doesn't want to learn, leave me alone
[link] - (indifferent)
Let it be known that I have issues with obstinate refusal to learning. I'm not talking about those whose brains are just too miniscule to accept something as different from what they've known all their lives. I mean people who don't want to learn something, or expect someone to do for them.
Someone commented that they didn't know what posting a link entailed on the list, and were too tired to figure it out. (This after apparently having small issues with why I explained a crossover should have one of the KH characters versus two characters out an FF game.)
...you type the url of where the fic is found.
How
simple can that be? Why not, instead of being so apathetic, one asks what posting a link means?
But no, apparently learning is just too hard a job nowadays.
Anyway, consider this and tell me what you think. A crossover should include characters from whatever two or more series/games are being used, correct? KH is pretty much a crossover game, using original KH characters, Square characters, and Disney (yech) characters. But we all know those Square characters appeared in a FF game prior to KH. So, even if one would use a KH timeline Square character, but pair it with another FF character from the
same game who was
not in KH, does it really count as a KH crossover? To me, no. To take an example, a SquallxSeifer fic, regardless if the Squall is from the KH timeline, still qualifies as an FF ffic. Perhaps AU if set in the KH world. Why? There's no other KH character involved, be it one of the original KH characters or another Square character from the KH timeline.
Yes or no? (I don't think you really need to have played KH to understand the nature of this question, though it might help, not sure.)

(9:35 pm PT) - Hn
[link] - (indifferent)
Last three days have been totally blown as far as getting any significant work done. Though I feel slightly good in that I have a rough idea of my soon-to-be new LJ layout. Kaito needs ::cough:: exposure.
Nothing of importance to see here. Meaningful crap tomorrow, maybe...

(9:30 am PT) - Morning...
[link] - (indifferent)
New mouse, TG. No more cursor rising to the top when I'm trying to home in on a pixel. I guess I'll work on papers again. I think I'll redo the X -kai- one I was working on before I had to give it up.
Nearly caught a klez, so I'm currently scanning my comp. Actually, I try and do that ocne a month anyway, but I forgot to do it in December (for obvious reasons).
edit: note to self, remove files from all temp and temp internet folders before scanning.
Cross your fingers, I want to head back to little Tokyo today, but my plans always have a way of getting screwed.

Sunday, December 22, 2002
(9:53 am PT) - Ramble
[link] - (indifferent)
I'm probably not going to go into anything serious for the next few days, mainly because 1: I've said enough, and 2: I'll just start laughing and screaming my bloody head off. ::shrugs::
For now, though, why didn't anyone tell me there was yet
another season of Digimon, better than the last one on FOX, too. Hn, last to know.
Kit - This is if Jasmine
wants to try and meet up. I know she's only here until the 28, but I don't think anyone wants to meet up on the 24th, and the 25th is logically out for the rest of you as well (I'll be free, but I won't go into that). I don't know what's happening on the 23rd, so I thought either the 26 or 27 would be okay. If not, then maybe I can just catch Jasmine the next time she comes out here.
Sometimes plans just don't work out the way you want them too, no matter how much you try.
I got
Ki's gift last night, working on couple of others tomorrow. Don't want to do more beyond that, just kind of tired all the way around.
Oh yeah, Ronda approved the wallpaper I made. I don't feel like posting all the info. Just know that it's Zelgadis, and the song is Enya's "Afer Ventus." You can find it
here.
I might change the layout sometime in January, new year and all. Don't know yet.
Nobody's up, so I think I'll go back to sleep. Ja ne.

(3:42 pm PT) - End is a three letter word...
[link] - (indifferent)
I admit to several character flaws. Being perfect would make me boring. Some flaws I do wish I could get rid of, others I want to keep. Balance.
One of my flaws is this: the angrier I get, the more of a complete and utter obnoxious bitch I can turn into. Which means if I'm tired of someone just not buying the clue, then I will, in essence, dismiss them. Yup, dismiss. Uppity leo snobbery and all dismissal. And when I do this, of course I expect the thing to be ended and ne'er brought to my attention again.
Sooo, to the--person--who sent me yet another email after I said you would get no more communications from me on the matter, please be advised that your message was not read and duly filed away in the trash folder of my inbox with the utmost efficiency I've ever managed. Thank you and good day.
