(7:29 am PT) - Friday = pain
[link] - (sore)

Got in yesterday. Knew there would be a Jtown expedition. Didn't know how much walking would be involved to get there. Apparently it wasn't the normal route. I wasn't aware of this until it was too late.

For the record, large people + heart history != long walks (not without doctor's advice first)

But I knocked out a small portion of my toGet list. So there's something But I'm very stiff and sore today, do not like.

Going to see if I'm needed for bag stuffing, get my volunteer hours, then come back and lie down for a few.

(9:26 pm PT) - Shoving off.
[link] - (indescribable)

Time to turn off the desktop now. Will roll into SF in the morn. See all con-bound people soon. See everyone else Tuesday.

(9:43 am PT) - con count
[link] - (anxious)

Final countdown, last pack & panic begins. I'll head out around 9ish tonight, bus takes off around 11, and I'll be in SF somewhere between 8-9, and after 9 at the hotel depending on the BART and cab.

Just crossing my fingers hotel will let me make a cash payment instead of my card.

(3:27 pm PT) - Boo
[link] - (restless)

So con schedule is up, and three panels I'd really like to go to are scheduled for the same time. I'm convinced, they hate me.

Must pack... cup o noodles. And a fork.

(9:48 pm PT) - Ummm
[link] - (rushed)

Just to note, I'm not intentionally ignoring/not replying to anyone. The group leader and I suddenly realised that the other group members have no idea what they were doing, and we have to go behind them and clean up the mess... and it's due tomorrow. So today was wasted on a job that wasn't originally mine, which meant the job I was supposed to do I didn't get done and will have to rush on tomorrow. Ye-ah.

Con preparing type stuff starts Monday. Yeah, rushing on that, too. And worried that I haven't heard from the volunteers. And did they put up a con schedule yet and I missed it, or is it really late?

I have a 4-person reservation for the Friday Cafe event at 10pm. Anyone want to join me?

Due to come into SF Thursday morning. Going to go let my brain jelly now.

(7:36 am PT) - miscellany (long post is long)
[link] - (contemplative)

School stressing = quiet. Need to finish my part of the group project and see if I can finish the final week early since I won't be home that weekend. Have a class after this one, then I'm requesting some time off so I will have November and December to myself. Still feeling guilty about Xmas '07 and looking at half done, partially done, need to ship things. Must make up for it in '08

I'll have four classes left. Considered briefly going for a masters, decided against it. Also been feeling disconnected, though I don't know if there's a single thing I can attribute that to versus a goulash of things.

Sitting on a PW/AJ fic that needs a beta, but wondering where to find one who will only correct what I consider problems and nothing else. "Style" is a matter of perspective and not something I thing should be corrected unless asked. Me, I only want my tenses to match and to catch any words that that shouldn't be, such as homophones, or missing words (I forgot to type a 'the' where one should be).

I think I've alienated some people, but I don't know what I did or didn't do, which if the blame is on me, I don't know what nor how to apologise for it.

Any strides in weight loss has been lost to stress and people who bring in the foods I keep asking them not to bring in.

Con stress sets in Monday.

Wondering if I should go back to using the LJ, or at least just posting what I post from here to IJ there as well. Only to make it easier for anyone to read/comment if they want. Still undecided.

Looking over old web and writing projects to see which might be good to try and restart/finish.

... too much to think about, going to go read fics and take mind off things for a couple of hours.

Feel free to comment, advice on anything or nothing at all is welcomed.

Kalli, Kit, Mina, thank you. Really, I have a lot of what was listed, but the brain crapped out because I didn't think of any of it. ^^ @Kalli, I'm really going to push for Nightwalker. (Heck, I might just bring it with me and put it in her hands.) @Kit, Steph's already got YnM/DoD listed for that night, so I guess that qualifies as old enough. @Mina, subtext perfectly okay. Actually, it has to be, or we wouldn't have enough programming for three days. And BnSH is always played. It's like the Ycon video anthem. hrr.

Again, thanks for the suggestions (keep 'em coming if you got anymore). I'll let Steph know about them tomorrow.

Pepsi is my anti-wank.

(7:14 am PT) - Questions
[link] - (exanimate)

First, to Mina, There's a question for you from Kit over here.

Second, Steph at the vidroom asked me for some suggestions for the "Pretty Boys Oldies" theme night. Basically older series like Earthian and WK. Outside of GB, which might not be old enough, I couldn't think of anything myself, but promised to ask the flist. So any anime you think would fit the theme?

Sorry for the silence. Been some drama/wank/stupidity here that I didn't want to really bother with posting about. Just trudging through school and still writing PW fic, though I don't know if I'm going to even post it anywhere. Hm.

(8:56 pm PT) - meme-tiem
[link] - (groggy)

Tagged by Mina: Sometimes it's okay to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fics favorite you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

I'm not listing these in any particular order, just know they're somewhere in the top five.

Finding Forgiveness (PW: Nick/Klav) - I don't know why I like it, I just do. Okay, maybe because I always seem to go for those hardly considered, let alone written for pairings, so when I see something, even if it's my own doing, well beggars can't be choosers. That and I think these two are the best to run through the emotional wringer. Oh yeah, this, not finished. I'm still writing on it.

Sophisticated Fools (PW: Phoenix/Miles) - I like this for a few reasons, but mostly because 1. It's a PW fic, my first even. 2. I was afraid I'd forgotten how to write fanficton, so this gave me a bit of faith back in myself. 3. I finished it. Seriously, I consider that a major accomplishment. Plus, I managed to have Miles drawing stick figure porn. That deserves a nod if nothing else.

Suimin no Gen'ei (Illusion of Sleep) (Slayers: Gourry/Zel) - Okay, I really don't know why, but I had to put this one. Both heart-wrenching and heart-warming, plus it has NotDumb!Gourry.

Dance of the Full Moon (Slayers: Gourry/GirlChanging!Zel- This has been incomplete since the dawn of time, and sadly I lost my muse when revulo stopped poking fun at it. But it was fun, it was crack, it was Zel as a woman... what's not to love about that? Plus the ice cream scene, can't not mention the ice cream scene.

Lumina's Dreamer & Sadiki's Harmony (FFX: Braska/<=Rin=>/Tidus) - They're tied, but it's confusing because they're also somewhat connected. And while I've for the most part been a very strange Rin/Tidus fan for FFX, the Braska/Rin pairing came out of left field and smacked me upside the head. I learned not to question when that happens, just write and hope it comes out in the wash.

tagging Gnome, Kalli, Miracle, Revulo, and Ronda
