(9:06 pm PT) - breathing
[link] - (tired)

Evidence to the contrary, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, even if I wished I had. No, it was finals week in my class. (Glad that one's over) Plus to make matters worse, I made the mistake of playing some of DMC4 in front of mom. Now she wants me to play it so she can watch. Hrr.

Amber, Moonie, emails came in okay, no worries. Thanks!

I'm still crafting, just so slowly as not to be believed.

(8:45 am PT) - Sunday
[link] - (tired)

Made a mental not to try and post at least every Sunday during NaNo.

The move went okay. I wasn't without internet for too long. More importantly, we were able to get DirecTV back, despite what the manager was saying. (Not only does someone else here have it, but we figured either the management company or the owners get a kickback from Time-Warner, so they make it sound as though you can only use them. ::flips the bird:: ) Unfortunately, I can't put my treadmill in here. I don't know what's going to happen far as that goes. I like to walk. It helps in many ways. I don't, however, like to walk around other people. They seem to think I can walk up an incline for 20 minutes, yet still hold a conversation. No. I need all the air I can get to breathe, thanks.

In general, I don't like it here, both for the loss in space, the reason why I was forced to take the smaller room, and I'm just getting tired of living with my family. Brother especially. But I can't afford school, not if I really want to save to get out of socal. So I can't get any decent sort of employment. Unless perhaps I try one of those online things, but I'm not sure how much they cost or how effective they are.

NaNo has been going well, even if it's all being pulled out the hat. I don't think it's that good plotwise, but I'm lucky I can manage anything, given the inauspicious start of this month.

On the completely irrevelant note, I've been playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. ... Hector is so Trevor's bitch.

Last, NaNo chibis from the Gaia maker. Meet, (in order) Winter, Taija, and Leliues.

(6:18 am PT) - ::falls out::
[link] - (tired)

After writing a quick script to go through a directory and write a Nucleus image code for every file found, I then proceeded to upload and post 62 new tiled backgrounds over at Bryony, one at a time.

(12:33 am PT) - One project nearing completion, 1,247 more to go
[link] - (tired)

If anyone was wondering where i got to today, I was over here, working on a project I've been meaning to do since last year. I don't have all my backgrounds up, and I have to come up with a different template for any left-side graphics I may want to put up (like this one at Locuran). But on the whole, it's working out fairly well. But man, trying to make Nucelus do what I want it to do can be very nerve-wracking at times.

So if no one minds, I'm going to go collapse for a bit. Poof.

(12:06 am PT) - Comp news
[link] - (tired)

Good news - comp is back
BAAAD news - original data could not be recovered.

Best Buy claims they couldn't recover/backup the data due to corrupt HD. I'm not too inclined to believe it's impossible, simply because of how they treated the whole affair. I will now tell anyone NEVER to take a comp or any kind of device to a major chain for repairs. They don't care. They know they'll get other customers, so they don't really need your money.

Now indie repair places, they don't have people coming in every day, so they want AND need your money, and usually are willing to work for it. Usually.

Anyway, I'm not giving up on the original HD. I have one guy I'm going to drop it off to tomorrow. He'll look at it for free, and he says if he can fix it, he'll call me to discuss charges before he does anything. Then I have some guy named George who works for $100 an hour (minimum 2), but he says if I can find someone who can beat that price, let him know. He also explained that as long as the disks are still able to spin, yes, he can do it. Now if they're not spinning, we're looking at at least 1200 just to get them spinning again.

However, I don't know if they're spinning. Tony will probably tell me. I'm hoping they are. When I asked the asshats at BB, though, the guy wants to say he thinks it's not spinning, basing this on the fact that he "couldn't really feel it." "Did you open it up?" "We don't do that, it's a sealed device."

Yeah, but you can feel it. Not to mention I am not happy with any of their customer service. Furthermore, the guy who said he didn't feel it isn't the one who attempted to back it up. I went there M-W, and it was a different guy each and every single flippin' day. Tuesday was the worst, as "Danny" was a snotty know-it-all. I asked him how did the back-up go, "I don't know." So how the hell am I suppose to believe what they say about anything at this point? And when asking about alternatives for data recovery, Danny flippantly says, "Maybe if you got two thousand dollars." Nice way to make the customer happy, Danny boy. Ah, but I would not want to be Danny tomorrow, as the General Manager asked me today how was my visit. And when I said I didn't have a good time, he really wanted to know. Well, I explained how the call for my computer came today at 11am. I get there at 6pm, yet it still took them 15-20 minutes between the time I gave them the paper, and the time I'm actually handed my comp. Then I made it a point of tell him about ol' Danny boy, to which the nice man said, "Well Danny comes in tomorrow morning. And so do I."

Oh Danny boy, you really shouldn't piss off the customers. You never know when it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Going back to the problem with the HD, I refuse to write it off. Just the fact that Tony's willing to look at me will let me know where I stand. And mother's asshat is supposed to come into some funds in June, to which she said she would help me out if I haven't gotten it repaired by then. Add to that, my friend Katrina says she has a coworker she's going to ask about it.

So I have options, it just might take me awhile before I'm able to save up enough to get it fixed. But I'm patient, and there's just too much on there that I'm attached to for me to simply let it die without trying.

But I really need a way to backup some of this automatically. I think I'll look into a zip drive.

Anyway, I'm still upset about the HD thing, so look for me this weekend far as chatting goes, since I have to reinstall all that sort of thing. Really, I'm just not the best company to deal with right now, and don't feel like putting my mood on anyone else.

On a HD related note, if anyone knows where I can make some money, or any of those free cash deals lying around, let me know. I need every cent I can get.

Also, as I told Katrina, will offer sex for restored HD.

No, damnit, I don't have any morals when it comes to this.

This next part is 1: unrelated, and 2: for Kit. Read only if you want depressing spoilers for Soul Hunter.

Let's see, just off the top of my head, Lord Ki Shou's eldest son, the Yin Emperor, both his sons and his wife, Kou Hiko's wife and sister, Lord Ki Shou himself... like I said, off the top of my head.

Obviously, that's way more than just one.

But, Youzen didn't die, so I may forgive you, eventually.

That's it for now. Going to look at my RG Veda dvd again. Cannot believe they made Ashura a girl. Grr. Hope that's fixed when the manga's released.

(11:35 pm PT) - Ugh
[link] - (tired)

You're all going to make me beg for those Sesh sketches, aren't you? I know you are...

In totally unimportant news, while the cycle is now over, the weakened immune system left me susceptible (too tired to check) to another cold.

Dear body. Please quit fucking with me. When you're out of whack, I can't do anything.

Lastly, I'm in love with thie Varekai CD. That is all.

(9:45 pm PT) - Still breathing
[link] - (tired)

Still here. Promise to be social in next post if at all possible, so I know you're all out there.

Been trying my damnedest to keep the cold at bay, and had crap on my mind. Today also was quite busy, as my mother turned half a century today.

I feel her mortality, and it scares me more than my own ever will.

But I'm not going to get morose, mainly because I'm incredibly tired. This was just one of those, "the patient is still breathing, doctor," posts.

BTW, Mina, Ko-chan, I haven't forgotten those fics, though obviously they'll be late. Mina, I found two perfect PWP moments from the anime, though just out of curiosity, have you read any of the manga, because Milley would be a nice one for Marron too, unless that's just a "too pretty" overload.

Speaking of too pretty, and the final topic, I found a humourous one-shot manga called "Princess Prince." If you can stand girly looking guys, (and for me to say that, you know they must look like women, period), then it's really quite funny, yet also poignant. More importantly, one of the main characters falls in love with a black woman. For me, that hits a soft spot like no other.

Okay, going to rest. Hopefully will post soon.

(7:16 pm PT) - Shipping tomorrow
[link] - (tired)

RL and a nasty migraine has stalled me on sending everything out. For those waiting for their fudgepackers, it all ships tomorrow. Sorry, I know it's late. Hopefully you'll like the whole kit-n-caboodle, though.

Oh yes, if there was ever an image you wanted on some letter sized stationary, send it to me now and maybe I can sneak it in your bag somehow. Maybe. You can email me the image (what, you don't have my addy by now?) or just post a link. Either way works.

Mina, I apparently don't have your addie like I thought, unless it's the return addie on this neat Xmas card you sent me?

(8:51 pm PT) - Urk...
[link] - (tired)

Show me a person who likes Xmas shopping in December, and I'll show you a masochist who can withstand great amounts of pain.

Ko-chan - I forgot about not being able to aim. But I don't think that's a big problem. I can miss on purpose. As for the cat, well I probably like the cat more than whatever evil genius hires me out.

Moonchan - Got your addie. I didn't get a chance to email you about the commission, so I'll have to do it tomorrow.

Again, peeps, unless I say I have your addie, assume I don't, and send it to me via the message box on my about me. That sends it directly to my inbox.

Was going to say something else, but frig, I'm tired. I'll try to be more--something--tomorrow.

(8:44 pm PT) - Ow...
[link] - (tired)

I spent the better part of today at Michael's craft store, getting things to make and send to those of you I know who either have or will give me your addie. (hint, and you can use the message thingie here at Locuran) I am wiped, and I'm still not done yet. Grah. I'm hoping it will reach you in time for Xmas at this rate.

And Mina, I'm going to look for a penis shaped cookie cutter just for you. Oh yes, and while the fics (and some logs I was saving for a lonely rainy day) did get eaten, I'll just have to start over, so don't cry too much. I'll hopefully get it finished before Xmas as well.

I need a nap. Don't know if I'll recover in time to actually be online tonight. Xmas shopping is brutal.

(10:27 pm PT) - To what I initially wanted to post...
[link] - (tired)

After being so thoroughly confused/sidetracked by previous post and whatnot, on to what I originally wanted to say.

First a big thanks to all our sponsors, Pharoah, Raine, Domino, Ki, mi madre, and my brother. Those are just the ones who're listed (anonymously or otherwise) on the blogathon site. Another thanks to those promising to sponsor, but facing technical difficulties in signing up.

Also, much gratitude to Mina and Mirchan for the nod in their own journals. Thanks, luvs, I do appreciate it on behalf of the group.

Okay, I don't know if I'm going to post again for the next couple of days. Tomorrow, I'm either getting ready for Blogathon, or getting as much sleep as I can.

Wish us luck, everyone.

(7:51 am PT) - waking up feeling like this probably indicates a bad day...
[link] - (tired)

To: the world at large
From: Me
Re: soul weary

My soul hurts. So kindly leave me alone, just for today. If not, I'll drill to the core and just blow the whole she-bang up.

Don't think I won't or can't. My PMS is just around the corner.

(9:04 pm PT) - PHP - Pure Hell Programming
[link] - (tired)

Script TODO
delete record function
add new record
login page
add config table
ability to upload template files through admin
choose to allow/disallow php code in content

Spending 2-3 hours agonizing over a script, only to realize you had ?> when you should have had <? can truly make one homicidal.

Mirchan - tomorrow probably. I'll put the script away before it sucks the life out of me.
