(9:35 am PT) - Life, Drama, and Chore Wars
[link] - (drained)

This might be a teal deer on the feed. I wonder if there's a way to validate or create a tag exception so I can use an LJ cut from the blog? Hmm...

Life. Mom went to visit the grandmère yesterday, and mentioned she didn't look as well as she did just last week. So now we're wondering if she even has the 6 months the doctor gave her. I'll visit her next week, though I made the stipulation only if my sister isn't there. I just refuse to play nice when I really never wanted to see her again.

Drama, i.e. school. Much wank thanks to instructor with inconsistent grading, posting class policies into optional attendance areas, and taking such a hands off approach in general as to the point I consider him a glorified and overpaid grading TA who just marks the papers. I'm annoyed with the grading more than anything. For me, if I make a genuine mistake, I would like to be graded accordingly. If I screw up to where it's a failed assignment, give me the fail so I'll know from jumpstreet that I messed up. Do not give me leniency the first time, then grade harder the next unless you're telling me that's what you're doing. Basically, let me know I made the mistake so I won't repeat it. That's how one learns. (Imagine that.)

chichiri posted an interesting site link the other day. It's called Chore Wars. I believe the chores/tasks can be edited I want to use it for both my writing and schoolwork, just going to have a time figuring what's an adequate reward without making it too easy or hard. Will think on it.

(7:43 am PT) - writing buddies
[link] - (drained)

Okay, at the NaNo site, I've found Kalli, Miry, Ronda, and Sprink. Anybody else I should add to my list? If so, just leave the name you used at NaNo. If you want mine, it's still LN Tora.

Assignments due in both classes today, but they appear fairly easy. ::crosses fingers::

(1:14 pm PT) - Least that's one thing I don't have to take with me...
[link] - (drained)

So the host emailed, site is fixed. People want to leave, I'm not stopping them. When you got two people working on it who aren't getting paid and juggle work or school, I'd say they're lucky it stays upright as much as it does. But that's just me.

I do feel like one weight was lifted, since I've been encountering a bunch of little annoyances since I woke up this morning.

(6:31 pm PT) - Oh sweetest irony, thy kisses are are honey
[link] - (drained)

So in trying to decide which shirt I was going to get (opted for the original), I forgot one small detail. What if they didn't have it on stock.

They didn't. Nor were two of the alternatives available. And I didn't want to settle for the third.

This is me, getting suckerpunched by irony.

But after much grumbling and searching today, I found something that was far more pretentious/outrageous, in the same price range, and definitely in my size. take a look. Yes, it's ebay, but given they have a completely separate check-out, I think it's simply a merchant that has online stores with most of the major auction sites. Aside from that, I think given that 1. everyone will be cosplaying Saturday; and 2. it's around Halloween, I'll fit in well. I won't be surprised if someone comes up asking me what character I've cosplaying. (It's happened before, though I wasn't wearing a costume. Just slightly outlandish clothing.)

But again, I really want to thank everyone for taking time to offer up suggestions. I'm glad it turned out this way, though. The set costs as much as the one single shirt, so I think I'm getting a better deal here. Granted, I can't wear it out as casual-wear, but that's fine.

Moving along, I feel I haven't been a very good friend of late. Truth be told I've been withdrawing from a lot of things ever since this impending move, which has been delayed, blindsided me. So I have to apologise if I haven't been as supportive as I would like to be.

Kit, I know you tagged me on LJ. I'll definitely get to it, just later on.

And if anyone really wants to talk to me asap, send an email or use the contact form. Seriously, I have my email alert on all the time, so I'll get those before anything. If you want to chat, send an email telling me which chat proggie to use, and I should be there.

Until then, I'm going to de-stress a little by sim farming. Woohaa.

(4:03 am PT) - When life is shoving a fat one up the rear
[link] - (drained)

I felt incredibly down. Life has a lovely foot-long dildo, and I guess my rear-end was targetted. And that last fic is depressing me, but I'll skip the whine and the why. And to top it off, I have a lovely bout of insomnia.

Then I remembered the compliment meme. So I went back and read it. I can't say I feel 100% better, but it definitely improved my mood. So this meme really worked. Or rather, everyone who left such kind words helped.

About the Key fic. Outside of acknowledging that they received the file, I've heard nor seen no other actions from those running the game/archive. I'm thinking of just posting it under Original fics over at Yaoiville, but wanted some opinions. Should I do it, or wait to see if I hear anything from the game runners?

Oh yes, thanks for the angel references. If anyone comes across more, please sling them over here.

(1:49 pm PT) - Tired doesn't begin to describe it
[link] - (drained)

I owe replies. I know this. I'm painfully aware of this. So call off the hounds if you were preparing to sic them. I've been busy. Part of it is now complete. The other I'll post about later. Right now, I'm dead tired, and I think I'm coming down with something, not sure.

Oh yes, and I lost my Saiyuki fansubs somewhere. I'm not happy about that.

Mina. First, regarding this, no, I didn't do anything. Randomly I just like to make sure everyone knows I appreciate them. Second, about Pretear, (I'm too lazy to use the accented e, I tell you). It's like this: I'm shallow. I'm very shallow. I will watch an anime if the bishness is overflowing, even if the plot sucks. That being said, Pretear isn't that bad, you just can't take it seriously, period. It's something to make fun of, because it plays with such an obvious plot it borders on oblivious. Strangely for me, the main female character wasn't as annoying as one might think. The most annoying would have to be her school friend. Fortunately, she doesn't get too many scenes. So I can and yet can't recommend it, as I'm not sure how your tastes go versus your ability to just poke fun at some basic eyecandy.

To note, yes, I'm still looking for help

Now, to go look at my "To Get" list, then crash for a couple of hours.

zzzzz

Is the fic finished? Hell no.

(11:11 pm PT) - the good, the bad, and the insane
[link] - (drained)

the good: Treadmill walk plus facial routine. I suppose this means I'm attempting to settle into this new place. Also, got Firefox working again. (To Moonchan, I didn't want to uninstall just because I'd customised it so much, especially minor things like button placement. I did install over the current version. Then finally killed and reinstalled my extensions, which did the trick.)

the bad: Stalled out on GB fic, which I really wanted to finish before I hit the con. Grr.

the insane: It's official. I've rejoined the insanity known as NaNoWriMo. This will mark my third year into the chaos, though apparently I won't be alone this time out. I know I mentioned before that those of us who know each other should form a small group, but I forgot to ask the preferred format: email or LJ?

And on a sadder note, I've just been informed that Christopher Reeves has died. ::sniffs:: Goodbye, Supes. You'll be missed.

(7:08 pm PT) - Nothing much
[link] - (drained)

Having posted since Thursday, huh? Just nothing of great importance going on to bother posting about. There's still the GB fic, which comes in spurts (spurts, heh heh). Couldn't wite anything to it today as I was tring to (finally) clear some of the boxes from the move and make my room more user friendly, least to me.

However, I'm now seriously considering looking into finding different housing on my own, perhaps with a rommate. Just something was said that shows I should try really hard. But I doubt if it happens any time soon. Just have to keep eyes open.

Oh, Domino, I haven't asked for the money yet because my own is still in a state of "flux". Supposedly I'll get repaided in the next week or so, then I'll let you know. Did I give you the reservation times? ::can't remember::

Okay, if you were on my Xmas list last year, and want a repeat performance, shout here (at Locuran, not the LJ feed or I'll miss it). Also, if you could send a message through the "Me" page, I need:
Address
waist size (inches or centimeters, just specify which)
preferred chocolate (dark, milk, white, or none)
any bath and beauty items you're allergic to/prefer to have
Anything else you think I should know.

Mind you, I'm not made of money, so be gentle with me.

Now, going to relax, and then read up some more on the Hindu zodiac. Quite fascinating, I must say. I only hope I can do it justice in this fic.

Oh yes. All those doing NaNo, should we form a group and procrastinate with converse with on the coming of November?

(5:26 am PT) - Sorry
[link] - (drained)

To anyone looking for me yesterday evening, I'd laid down for a small nap, but didn't wake up until a few minutes ago. It's just as well. I was given some bad news and I wouldn't want to force my mood off on anyone else. I'll try to be on tonight, though no promises.

(11:13 am PT) - For the curious
[link] - (drained)

I'll work on the snippets today. It just seems every time I want to do something for myself, certain parties come up with something for me to do for someone else's benefit.

(7:32 pm PT) - Con: eh; LN: 1; Tomokazu Seki: infinity

Mission conplete.

(7:28 pm PT) - Moving
[link] - (drained)

I'm going to move Yaoiville.org in a couple of days. Maybe today if I'm lucky. What this means is: the site's going to flux and probably go out of commission while the new nameservers propagate(?) the net. All links and such will remain the same. I'll give the instability a week after I put in the nameserver change with GoDaddy.

If you have a counter from bryony, the numbers will be affected in regards to where the hits are being logged. I'm guessing you may lose a few in transition. I highly doubt if it's going to be that noticeable (unless you're getting hundreds of hits a day, in which case, you shouldn't be using that counter). But if you want to play it safe, once I get a working url, I'll share that and you can alter the code until the domain name finishes changing over.

I'll post here one last time when I've put in the change at GoDaddy. Then I'll start once the change is finished.

:: crosses fingers for a smooth transaction ::

(11:43 pm PT) - They're working under duress
[link] - (drained)

Dear muses,
I know tonight was hard as hell. Trust me, I'm sitting here depressed right along with you, knowing it's not going to get any easier.

I just wanted to tell you I'm proud of you, and I promise to say screw the diet and give you whatever chocolate you want when this is through.

(9:29 pm PT) - Ye-ah...
[link] - (drained)

I saw an ep of FLCL, or whatever that's called. I want to know who the person was smoking the crack that came up with that, so I can do a drug intervention real fast.

Next up, Blue Gender. Just from the promo, I can't say I'm impressed. I might just pass on it tonight.

(11:54 am PT) - General
[link] - (drained)

Okay, I'm more or less over Blogathon (trust me, staying up 24 hours takes it toll, both physically and mentally). I'm alright, or as much as to be expected.

Kit - Yes, I got better towards the end. Next time I just need a project to keep my mind occupied between posts.

Amber - Maybe next year you can have Rick there to just massage your legs while you post. /^^;

And Rawr... it's all Kit's fault. I innocently d/led one .hack//SIGN song from her, Aura, and now I have a behemoth hardon to find the OST. All her fault, I swear it. Anyway, where do you guys shop for reasonably priced, non-bootlegged OSTs? Let me know, I really want that OST now.

Though the OST to Chrono Cross might not be so bad, though I have yet to play the game. I should fix that, shouldn't I? What's the depression levels of that game? I want warning first.

I have a layout to go fix, so excuse me.

(8:37 pm PT) - droll
[link] - (drained)

One of those answer the questions quizzes/surveys that seem popular on lj

Hm, let's see now... oh yes.

Domino - Sorry, it feels like I'm putting our fic off. I'm not. I thought I'd have December to myself. I swear, I love my mother, but brother and I are going to do our damndest to get out in 2003. ::crosses fingers:: I'm hoping after the "guests" leave and I can vram in some unintentional last minute shopping, I'll have recuped enough to get in touch with you. Though I'm thinking if we want, we could try a message board type of thing. Glance at the Notus link to the side, it's a running RP I have with Kit. Oh, BTW, the Rinoa as Ultimecia theory sounds interesting. Could you elaborate? I'd like to hear it.

Kit - There's a computer swapmeet that happens every last Saturday of the month that you might be interested in, if you're going to try for a new HD. (Personally, I vote for PS2.) Also, if you could, name a few animes you're currently into. Better if you can point me in the direction of some images you're particularly fond of. Finally, can you send me your snailmail addy? I think I can get to you by bus, but I need to see to be sure. If so, maybe I can just hand deliver your gift or just go somewhere for a quick bite, something different. If you're interested, of course.

Amber - sounds like a big load off your mind. Seems like the holidays are looking up for you. I'm happy you won't have to go through all of that or having it looming over your Xmas. Let the healing begin, perhaps?

Drained. Going to go vegetate now... after some very fattening chocolate cream pie.
